The Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. In the future, Scouting will continue to: offer young people responsible fun and adventure; instill in young people lifetime values and develop in them ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law; train young people in citizenship, service, and leadership; serve America's communities and families with its quality, values-based program.

The Tussahaw District is part of the Flint River Council and serves Henry and Butts counties in central Georgia. This land was originally the home of the Creek Indian Nation.

Scouting For Food 2012
Scouting for Food is more than the largest Scouting service project in the southeast, it's the single largest food drive as well. Because of the work of our leaders and scouts, Scouting for Food will provide more than 50,000 pounds of food for needy citizens in our community during the winter months. For some food pantries, Scouting for Food is their primary source of food. With out Scouting for Food, people will go hungry!
